love your confession box- Well, of course, Simon says "herb" with the "h". He thinks American English has it all wrong. However, I've never heard "historic" pronounced without an "h". Is that a regional thing?

I've just heard that on a few History Channel specials now, never really heard it before that. People say "an historic" without pronouncing the "h" whereas I would say "a historic" and pronounce the "h."
